It’s a place that effortlessly balances lively energy with a welcoming calm, perfect for anything from an intimate date night to a casual family gathering.

At Star BBQ, the act of dining is as much about connection as it is about savoring flavors. The centerpiece of the experience is the interactive Korean barbecue, where fresh cuts of marinated beef and pork meet the grill right at your table. This shared ritual encourages conversation and laughter, making each meal feel personal and immersive. Alongside, thoughtfully curated dishes layered with familiar yet distinctive Korean notes invite exploration—whether it’s the comforting warmth of a bubbling stew or the satisfying bite of a hand-rolled kimbap.

The atmosphere hums with a quiet attentiveness from the staff, who offer a kind presence that feels sincere rather than scripted. They move with a friendly readiness to guide or assist, adding a human touch that complements the simple joy of gathering around food. The space itself embraces an understated charm; cozy and intimate without pretense, it invites guests to feel at ease and linger.

Whether breaking bread with family on a chilly evening or sharing a casual meal with friends, Star BBQ creates moments that resonate beyond the plate. It’s a quietly radiant spot where Savoy’s local flavor feels alive not just in the food, but in the thoughtful, shared experience of eating well together.

This is a hidden gem of Savoy (really in all of CU). My partner and I went there on a date night in early December 2023 and the food and service were so good, we decided to bring our 7 & 10 year old kids for a New Year's Eve family date. We've tried the Korean sushi and Tofu Vegetables Hot Stone Bibimbap the first time, both delish. Tonight we all shared the Bulgogi BBQ (grilled at the table), Soybean Paste Stew, Beef Fried Rice and Beef Yakisoba. Our 10 year old ordered the Beef Yakisoba and his plate was the shinning star out of four amazing plates. The side dishes were awesome as well! We didn't know how to shut off the grill, as the knobs are all in Korean. In the minute that we realized our Bulgogi was done to the minute it took us to flag down the waitress, a lot of the seasoning was quite burnt on the grill plate. We felt so bad, but the ladies were so kind and had a good chuckle when they saw our son was Google translating the grill knobs when they arrived. They gave us Choco-pies as a special NYE treat. It was a perfect meal, fun and hip atmosphereand, and fantastic service. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Food is delicious , good portion sizes. Recommend the soondubu if you are a vegetarian too, the veggie one was great. Otherwise there’s so much good soups especially on a cold day.

I did AYCE here and you definitely get your moneys worth! There are appetizers, a Korean soup, meats, and then dessert included! The women were really nice, I would definitely recommend and come again!

The food is amazing and the people that run the restaurant are very kind. I was coughing and our waitress brought me a cup of hot water. The restaurant was nicely decorated and they played good music.
